Dear Future Loudoun Valley High School Students,
It’s time to select courses for your high school program of study. Be sure to consider your own motivation and study habits, your future career goals, the school’s recommendations, and your own personal interests when making your decisions. This year, all students will choose courses using the course request feature in Phoenix. Families will be able to access this feature from home and will be able to make changes through March 2nd in ParentVue. LV School Counselors will be at BRMS January 16, 22 & 23 to assist students with course selection for 9th grade. Parents/Guardians are encouraged to review course selections with their child, making any corrections online and on the Course Selection Sheet between January 22 and March 2nd . The course selection sheet should be returned to the 8th grade counselor. In the coming months, Mr. Peterson will be available to meet with students to review the course selections and 4-year academic plan. After March 2nd , requests for changes to course selections should be made in writing to Mr. Peterson. No changes will be accepted after June 1st.
Accessing the course request feature in Phoenix
(Parentvue/Studentvue Window will be open 1/22-3/2)
1. Go to the BRMS homepage www.lcps.org/brms
2. Go to the ParentvueTab
3. Find Quick Links on the right side of the page
4. Select ParentVue/StudentVUE login
5. Click on the Accept Button
6. Click on-I am a student
7. Enter your User Name (student ID) and Password
8. Click on the Login button and begin.
9. Please select 7 courses-4 will be core classes (1 English,
1 Math, 1 Science and 1 Social Studies),
1 must be H&PE 9, and then 2 electives. Study Hall will
be added to all student’s schedules during the summer.
Remember, you can save and go back several times
until March 2. If you have questions, please contact
