FOTS
Following the FOTS meeting last week I just wanted to pass on some new initiatives that are coming soon.
On the 18/3 we are hoping to hold our first “Cinema Club” whereby pupils of Treetops School will have the opportunity to purchase a cinema ticket for £2 and come and see a new release in the hall with their friends. We would like these evenings to be fun and a chance for children to socialise with their friends in a safe and familiar environment. Another new idea is for FOTS to host a golf day at Langdon Hills Golf Club to raise funds for the sensory garden so any golfing parents that are interested and available on 19th May, let us know. We will be sending out more information on both these new items once we have more details. In the meantime, should you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me.

The sensory garden is being started at February half term and FOTS have raised £25,000 to commence this with the ground work taking place and priority being given to the outdoor space for primary pupils. This will complete and serve half the garden; it would be wonderful if we could raise enough money to complete the remainder of the garden by the end of this year. So any help or ideas in achieving this would be greatly welcomed. We have copies of the plans up in the reception area for those that wish to see them. Please feel free to pop in and have a look.
Finally you may have noticed I do tend to enjoy a theme for our events, but need some help selecting a theme for the Summer Fair this year which takes place on 11th July. The options are Traditional Village Fete, Garden Party or Circus. It would be really helpful if you and your children voted for the theme they like best so that we can get underway planning a memorable summer event for the whole Treetops community to enjoy. Please tick below the most appealing and return to the school office.
