DELEGATE PARTICIPATION FORM

As a delegate/participant of the Arizona Association of Student Councils Summer Leadership Camp and to maintain and ensure the safety and well-being of our student delegates and staff members, all must agree to abide by the following behavioral standards and expectations. Any infringement or violation of these expectations may result in immediate termination without compensation. Your initial on each and signatures below indicate that you have read and understand these guidelines and are in agreement and will strictly adhere to these expectations.

ALL AASC CAMP STAFF MEMBERS & DELEGATES WILL ADHERE TO THE FOLLOWING:

DELEGATE INITIAL EACH

______1. Wear the assigned Summer Camp Name Badge appropriately throughout the duration of the camp.

______2. Attend and participate in all Summer Camp Sessions and meetings at the designated times and locations, this includes all

all meal times as well.

______3. Always display the appropriate mode of attire that is representative of any Student Leadership position and in congruence

with typical public school dress-code standards. Any of the following may be cause for concern or violation of this policy:

controversial clothing includes: spaghetti strap or strapless tops, very short length shorts, crop tops, cut out or frayed clothing, tank tops with extra-large arm and neck holes, clothing with messages that glorify or promote alcohol, tobacco, drugs, or contain profanity, sexual graphics or inferences. Gang affiliated attire is also not allowed. Staff or delegates wearing any of the above will be asked to change. It should also be noted that shirts and shoes must be worn at all times and for safety reasons Flip Flops are not recommended to wear.

_____ 4. The use electronic devices such as cell phones, tablets, I-Pods, portable gaming, or music players are allowed, however they

are not permitted during general sessions, council meetings, or at meals.

_____ 5. The safety, rights and respect for all in attendance is of prime importance, therefore any delegates or staff members that exhibit any

behaviors that endanger the health, safety or welfare of themselves or others will be sent home immediately at their own expense. Staff

members and delegates are expected act in such a fashion that demonstrates respect towards all. The interference by any Staff member

or delegate that impedes the ability for any other Staff member or delegate to fully participate in the camp program because of an form

of intimidation, harassment, hostility, or any other offensive action will not be tolerated.

_____ 6. The use of any alcohol, tobacco products of any kind, illegal drugs, or abuse of prescribed medications won’t be tolerated. Any Staff

member or delegate found possessing, using, or distributing any of these will be sent home immediately. In the case of delegates; their

home Student Council Advisor and School Principal will be notified along with their parents. In the case of Staff members; immediate

termination will occur with the possibility of legal consequences and repercussions.

_____ 7. The possession of any dangerous weapon while at camp by either Staff members or delegates will not be tolerated. This is to include the

following: firearms, knives, brass knuckles, etc. If it is discovered that any of these weapons or similar have been used or are on the

premises the Staff member and/or delegate in question will be terminated and sent home. In the case of delegates: their home Student

Council Advisor and School Principal will be notified along with their parents. In the case of Staff members; immediate termination will

occur with the possibility of legal consequences and repercussions.

_____ 8. Proper respect of the Campsite (Pine Summit) and its surrounding facilities is a must. Any vandalism, destruction of property or rampant

disregard for the cleanliness and upkeep of the Camp will not be tolerated and the responsible parties will be disciplined. In the case of delegates: their home Student Council Advisor and School Principal will be notified along with their parents. In the case of Staff members; immediate termination will occur with the possibility of legal consequences and repercussions.

Immediately inform the Camp Directors if a problem arises. The safety and well-being of all in attendance is paramount. For this reason if at any time during the camp an incident occurs that violates any of these regulations it should be reported to the Camp Directors immediately.
