Since 1998: Global Infrastructure Solutions Manager for Italy,
Motorola S.p.A., Milan

Main responsibilities:

Coordinate IT resources, choose and implement solutions to give the best possible infrastructure at the lowest cost.

-  Lead my team to reach global and Italian IT goals, through daily analysis of technical issues/needs and constant use of personal commitment.

-  Grant the best service level through customer focus and the internal customer relationship management tools.

-  Selection and management of hardware, software and services suppliers.

-  Planning and cost control of special projects in autonomy. Cash flow management on yearly budgets.

-  Plan and implement IT and TLC infrastructure in the existing and soon-to-come Motorola sites.

-  Participate in the setting up and service level management of Italian geographical network, through continuing cooperation with European WAN team.

Main achievements:

-  Consolidation of IT structures and resources across Italy.

-  Granting support to more than 200 users on NT workstation in 5 sites and management of the NT servers providing File&Print, Exchange, SMS and RightFAX services, and of the Cisco powered network.

-  Move of two sites in the Milan area without disruption to business activities. Implementation of the first redundant Alcatel Voice-over-IP installation in Italy.

-  Test, configuration and deployment of Windows 2000 clients within the joined Microsoft/Motorola early deployment program.

-  Year 2000 issues and certification management.

-  Migration from Unix to Windows NT network.
