Overview of position:

We are recruiting for a bright and articulate Social Media Executive to promote ICBI conferences. The successful candidate will report to the Head of Social Media, however, the person will need to collaborate with the business heads and individual marketing and production staff, so good interpersonal skills and professional conduct are important.

This role is suitable for candidates who are competent with the workings of social media tools and blogs and have the initiative to suggest improvements to processes where suitable, whilst also being comfortable carrying out fixed processes. In addition, the candidate will be involved in co-coordinatingsocial media coverage of our events from filming schedules, interviews and live Twitter updates.

Detailed Responsibilities:

  • Monitor consistent execution of social media marketing tactics across multiple events
  • Maintain corporate blogs (via WordPress software)
  • Co-ordinate content development for blogs and online syndication
  • Research and build following/communities for corporate accounts on LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and Blogs
  • Maintain dashboard tracking success of various campaigns
  • Work closely with marketing team to ensure seamless integration of social media marketing plans in overall marketing programme
  • Co-ordinate social media coverage of our events from organizing filming schedules, interviews, live Twitter updates and publication of videos on YouTube

Requirements:

  • Must be eligible to work in the UK
  • Valid passport as some international travel required
  • Bachelor’s level education or equivalent, specialization in digital media an advantage
  • Strong writing skills and attention to detail are essential in order to maintain a number of corporate blogs
  • Strong understandingofsocial media such LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube, Facebook, and Blogsis essential, as well as awareness of, and interest in newly developed social platforms such as Google+, Quora etc for B2B marketing.
  • Good understanding of best practiceregarding search engine optimization for Google and other search engines
  • Demonstrable experience in the commercial applications of social media, particularly development of online communities
  • Experience in online PR and social media tools
  • Must be self-motivated and ableto handle multiple projects - sometimes under pressure
  • Experience of standard Microsoft Office packages; Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent verbal, presentation and listening skills

Desirable but not essential:Experience in Adobe PhotoShop, WordPress and Headway
