This meeting will continue a broad discussion, including context, of how we came to this crisis of current and impending lack of funds for services and housing in Maine, and what we as parents can and are doing about it. The major focus will be on the state’s budget, advocacy, resources, and implementing a new Continuum of Care so that housing and service needs are met for everyone, and true community inclusion occurs.

  1. 12:20pm – Featured Speaker: Gary Wolcott, Associate Director, DHHS Office of Aging and Disability Services, Intervention and Care Management, and Frances Ryan, DHHS Director of Homeward Bound Program (Wraparound Funds). Gary and Frances will describe the Homeward Bound Program, as well as discuss the range of services and programs available currently through the Office of Aging and Disability Services of DHHS.
  2. Also featured: Eric Winter, Full Circle America (Dr. Chip Teel’s Company). Eric will discuss a new model of consumer based services soon to be available using technology and remote support.
