Please Read the Information Below Carefully before Applying:

CASNR Ambassadors are involved in recruiting students through high school visits, campus tours, and college fairs. They strive to provide personalized attention for student recruitment and retention. Ambassadors are representatives of the CASNR Dean’s Office, working closely with the Dean and all CASNR Dean’s Office events and activities. The Ambassadors participate in Ag Day, Graduation, the Annual Scholarship Banquet, Career Fair, and various other college, institute, and university events. Ambassadors provide outreach to their community through community service and youth development programs. An ambassador is required to serve one academic year, which lasts for the fall and spring semester. All ambassadors are required to attend the weekly meeting. All Ambassadors are required to attend weekly meetings held Tuesdays at 8pm.

To be considered, applicants must have successfully completed one semester of coursework in CASNR with at least a 2.75 GPA at the time of application. Applicants must be full-time, degree-seeking undergraduate CASNR students with the ability to attend the Fall Training Retreat in August, which will be held the Monday and Tuesday before classes begin. Preference will be given to students who demonstrate leadership skills, have public speaking experience, and have the ability to accurately and responsibly represent our college and academic programs.

Ambassadors are required to work a minimum of 30 hours a semester. This includes the weekly meeting and time spent traveling to recruitment events, but excludes the Annual Fall Retreat, Spring Retreat, and any summer volunteering.

Ambassadors are also expected to wear the required uniform while performing their Ambassador duties, unless otherwise specified. There will be a mid-semester evaluation of each Ambassador. Ambassadors may be dismissed for not reaching their hour requirement or for not living up to the expectations of the position.

The CASNR Ambassadors organization was designed to be a service organization for students who desire to give back to the college. The college rewards Ambassadors for their hard work and service in the following ways:

·  New Ambassadors will be paid $8.75/hour

·  The college will pay for a fall and spring appreciation dinner for the Ambassadors.

·  The Ambassador uniform of 2 polos and 1 jacket will be purchased by the College.

·  Ambassadors will receive valuable leadership skills that will benefit them both as a person and a professional.
