  1. Prior to the creation of the Declaration of Independence being written in 1776 did the colonist want to be independent, explain? At the beginning of the American Revolution how was the population of the American colonies divided over the idea of war with Britain?

Early Conflict in Massachusetts –

  1. What are the main parts of the Declaration of Independence? When was this document approved?
  1. What was the reaction to this document and the idea of independence by the different parts of the American colonies population?
