Start of Game

The game shall begin with each team selecting two (2) captains to meet with the referee for a coin toss. The team on the top bracket shall be the team to call the coin toss in the air. Winner of coin toss shall be first to select either getting kick-off or which goal to defend first half.

Regulation Play Ends in Tie

U6/U8: For all games, except championship game, there will be one (1) overtime period equal to a quarter of play with sudden death play, meaning the first to score wins even if entire overtime period has not expired. If overtime period has expired and teams remain tied, the ref will flip a coin with bottom bracket team making the call in the air and winner of coin toss advances as winner. For Championship Game, overtime periods equal to one quarter of play will continue until sudden death goal occurs.

U10: For all games, there will be two (2) overtime periods of nine (9) minutes with sudden death play enforced. If at the end of the two (2) OT periods both teams are still tied, a shootout will take place to determine a winner. Each team will select any (including the Keeper) five (5) players to do PK’s for shootout. You may change the Keeper prior to the shootout. If after five (5) shots teams remain tied, five (5) more shooters will be selected to shoot. A player may not repeat until everyone on their team has taken a shot. Groups of five (5) shall continue until winner determined.
