1. The single or double leaf hermetically sealing siding door,

Type MF-5 Medicare:

The Metaflex sliding door is based on a horizontal, hermetic sealing sliding door, specially developed and hyginc finished, for the aircontrolled rooms, such as operating theater in hopitals and cleanrooms for the pharmaceutical and micro-electronic industry.

1.1. Track system and doorblade guidesystem

Track made of a patented anodized aluminium profile, size 90 x 110 mm.

The running surface of the track for the toprollers is placed under an angle of 45°.

The doorblade hangs by means of two hardplastic, toprollers with a double bearing, under the aluminium track. This also guarantees a smooth and silent running.

The toprollers can independently be adjusted in the heigth and width.

The underside of the the doorblade is guided by 2 hyginic white nylon closing rollers and one special guideroller.

Track covered with coated steel plate canopy with 30° sloping top, over full length of the track.

Canopy material made of 0,63 mm galvanized steelplate in RAL9006 colour.

RAL9006 matches anodized aluminium colour.

1.2. Functioning of the manual sliding door.

The door can easily opened and closed by means of the special lever handle, which is provided on both sides of the doorblade.

The horizontal track is provided with a special running space, which is positioned under an angle of 45° and has 2 special indentations for the endposition of the toprollers.

When the door is closing, the toprollers will run in the indentations because of the weight of the doorblade.

The doorblade sink 6 mm. towards the floor and is pushed towards the wallframe.

Because the doorblade is provided with a special rubber gasket, all around the doorblade, a hermetic sealing is then realized. The door is certified for its hermetically closing in an operating theater and cleanroom at 50Pa.

Its hermetically closing is 99,99986% air thight at this overpressure.

The finished floor in the opening and in the sliding space must be level; maximum

deflection is ± 1 mm.

1.3. Execution of the doorblade.

The doorblade is made of a 5 mm. thick anodized aluminium profile with rounded cormers.

The bottomguide is V-shaped, even as the bottom guiderollers its selve.

In the doorblade surrouding is a special rubber gasket fitted for the hermetic closing on the floor and wall frame.

This rubber gasket is exchange-able.

The doorblade is 60 mm. thick and on both sides flush finished with hyginic hard plastic laminate.

The built up of the door:

- Anodized aluminium surrounding, 4-sided, blind fixed.

- Door core made of CFC-free Polyurethane, thickness 48 mm.

- Both sides mendeboard, thickness 5,1 mm.

- As toplayer on the mendeboard is 0,9 mm. hard plastic laminate used.

- Metaflex recommends hardplastic laminate, manufactured by Formica or Perstop

- The total doorblade thickness is 60 mm., flush on both sides

1.4. The frame profile.

The MF-5 Medicare sliding door is standard delivered with an anodized aluminium angle profile.

This aluminium profile is 3-sided and blind fixed to a finished wall opening.

The doorblade gasket will seal the opening to this aluminium profile.

2.2 Wall surrounded frames

2.2.1: type Halmstad:

Structural wall opening:Inside frame width + 30 mm.

Cladding:The opening and non-track side are 3-sided finished with 1,5 mm. brushed finished stainless steel, no. 304.

On the track side is the 3-sided aluminium angle profile blind

fixed on the stainless steel cladding.

2.2.2: type Malmö:

Structural wall opening:Inside frame width + 50 mm.

Inside frame height + 25 mm.

Cladding:The opening is 3-sided finished with 9 mm. mendeboard and finished on the visible side with 0,9 mm. hard plastic

The colour is the same as the colour of the doorblade.

The wall frame is on both sides finished with the 3-sided aluminium angle profile and is blind fixed on the cladding.

2.3. Lock in the doorblade:

The lock can be locked and unlocked on both sides

by means of a Euronorm cylinder and 3 keys

2.3. Electric lock:

2. The Metaflex SDA-03 sliding door automation

The SDA-03 is the Metaflex solution for the automation of hermetically sealing sliding doors for cleanrooms, operating theatres etc. This mircoprocessor-regulated control was developed within Metaflex, whereby all requirements regarding the doors' functions and ease of operation could be directly incorporated in the design. The flexible set-up of the microprocessor system makes it possible to move almost any door, whatever the size or weight, smoothly and accurately. At the same time the design provides such a high safety level and is so easy to use that the system is extremely suitable for use in places where very high standards are demanded when sealing off certain areas.

2.3 Explanation of the control and protective possibilities

-Operating the door:

The door control has four connections for control devices situated near the door. Two of these are to open the door completely and two are to partially open the door (one on each side of the door). Practically all control devices can be connected; such as push buttons, kick switches, pull switches, key switches, radar, active / passive infrared, remote control, contact mat, card readers or code switches.

-Operation by means of a Multi-purpose switch

The control offers the possibility of operating the door with a Multi-purpose switch. To this purpose the control has a number of connections fo this switch. The optional Multi-purpose switch has a higher priority than the control devices near the door. This makes it possible to preset a door position. However, the preset position is cancelled in the event of fire, burglary and/or an emergency power supply becoming operative. If the door is to be incorporated in an air lock of two or more doors, the interlock function can be switched on or off from the Multi-purpose switch. The Multi-purpose switch has the following standard functions:

*Normal operation

*Entrance only

*Exit only

*Permanently open

*Permanently closed

*Interlock function on / off

*Summer / Winter setting

*Push button open / close

If the winter setting has been set then all devices near the door will ensure that the door opens partially. If the door needs to be fully opened, slide the door further by hand.

-The door safeguards:

Because this control has been specially developed to drive Metaflex hermetically sealing doors it has, among other things, a high capacity three phase motor so that even the heaviest of doors can be well controlled. This makes the control's safety level extremely important. Near the door this safety is provided by a number of devices. The photocell in the door opening and the continuous monitoring of the door speed are standard. A safety system on the leading edge of the door such as a safety edge is optionally available.

2.4 Summary of the Standard Features.

-If the door is operated manually the control takes over the movement in the same direction as

has been started by hand.

-In the event of fire or and emergency power supply becoming operative the door will either

open or close, depending on whether the door is to be used as an escape route or as a fire-

resistant door.

-In the event of fire the door will be unlocked*

-The door can always be locked when closed (with the use of a keycard, code lock, or key

switch etc.*)

-The safey device in the door opening can also be used as command to open or close the door.

-The control also has an RS-232 processor communication feature for connection to a building-control system.
