PRODUCT APPRAISAL APPLICATION FORM FOR PRODUCTS USED IN WATER AGENCY WATER SUPPLY AND SEWERAGE SYSTEMS

Intending Applicants should obtain and read the Product Appraisal Terms and Conditions before completing and submitting this application. The current application fee and other charges are detailed in the Product Appraisal Schedule of Fees.

The Terms and Conditions and Schedule of Fees are available from the WSAA website in electronic form.

SUPPORTING INFORMATION
The WSAA Appraisal Network will set appraisal criteria. However, submission of relevant supporting information with the application will allow a speedier and more cost effective appraisal of the product. Your supporting information should be provided in the order listed below. The following headlines are a guide to the sections of the Report and subject matter that should be considered in carrying out a product evaluation. Some or all items may need to be considered, depending on what is being assessed and an appropriate level of detail needs to be provided. The supporting information should be submitted electronically (either via email or CD) and hard copy.
PRODUCT SCHEDULE
Provide a list of all product items to be addressed in this appraisal. For licensed products the licence schedule is the list. / Include:
List of all product items (by size, class, materials, joints, etc.)
Related model numbers or manufacturing numbers
Standard packaging arrangements and shipping sizes (e.g. 6 m lengths, 500 mL containers, 20 to a bag, 200 m roll etc.)
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Provide as a separate attachment under itemised headings with supporting documentation and assembly drawings. Appropriate drawings need to identify all product dimensions and components as a minimum; component materials and material grades should also be identified-drawings need to be specific to the products for which approval is sought (some items may not apply to the product). / Include:
Range of sizes and classes
Product configurations, e.g. fittings range, access cover shapes
Product components including material grades and/or types
Component materials options
Coating and lining details
Jointing options, e.g. flanged or socketed-spigoted
Other options
Compliance with AS/NZS 4020 for water supply/reticulation products

DRINKING WATER SUITABILITY
Only where this requirement is not covered in product standard – in such cases approval to AS/NZS 4020 or overseas equivalent is required – independent certification or test reports must be submitted.
