An International Comission of experts has examined the papers and has decided to offer the second „Dimitrie Pompeiu” Prize, ex aequo, to the papers authored by Y. Shang, respectively D. Wachsmuth and G. Wachsmuth. Each prize consists of 500 Euro cash and a Certificate. Moreover, it was decided to offer a Special Award, consisting in a Certificate, to the paper authored by Vasile Dragan, Toader Morozan, Viorica Ungureanu, classified in second position.

The Commission noted that the paper by Wachsmuth and Wachsmuth is of definite interest and is a useful clarification to the study of non variational problems. The discussion of consensus due to Y. Shang contributes to a currently very active and really challenging field. Moreover, the author combines this with stochastic differential equations and the result (consensus with probability one) is clear and nice. All the papers have already been cited in prestigious journals.

Y. Shang answered: I am very pleased and truly honored for receiving the "Dimitrie Pompeiu" prize. I would like to thank the Editorial Board and the international commission for selecting me as a winner. This prize is a boost to my professional endeavors and an inspiration to pursue academic excellence.

D. Wachsmuth and G. Wachsmuth replied: We are proud to receive the prestigious “Dimitrie Pompeiu” prize from the Academy of Romanian Scientists, Bucharest. We heartfully thank the international prize commission for the effort of judging all the contributions and for selecting our work.
