Projects Worked on:
Project Title: Fidelity Enterprise Processing Services Access to Oracle Conversion (FEPSAOC)
Client: Fidelity Investments
Team Size: 6
Duration: 6 months
Description:
The client had two MS Access applications. The client wanted the two standalone applications to be converted to a web application so that they can be accessed over their intranet.
We have used Struts, a MVC framework and Hibernate framework for communicating with the Oracle 9i database. We used client side java script for performing the validations. We used display tag library for implementing pagination when there are multiple records to be displayed. IBMWeb focus has been used for generating reports. The web applications are deployed on IPlanet web server running in Solaris environment.
Role:
Developed JSP pages using Struts tags.
Developed Struts Action classes
Implemented pagination in the JSP pages using Display tag( )
Developed the ant build file for compiling source files and generating the WAR file.
Customized the pagination, by adding alerts to the page links when the user moves from one page to another page without saving the changes.
Implemented java script validations for validating the user input
Developed a highly customizable dynamic tabbed menu in JSP, which has been reused in several projects.
Deployed the web application ( developed in Tomcat ) in IPlanet web server running in Solaris environment
Prepared the test plans and manually tested the application
Environment:
Struts 1.2, JSP2.0, Hibernate, Display Tag, Ant 1.5, Log4j 1.3, Eclipse 2.1, JDK 1.4, Solaris (for deployment), Windows XP professional, VSS, WebFocus, Apache Tomcat 4.7, Sun One Webserver (IPlanet), Oracle 9i, MSAccess, Java Script
Project Title: Fidelity Investments Life Insurance WebSphere Upgrade (FILIWSUP)
Client: Fidelity Investments Life Insurance Company
Team Size: 9
Duration: 2.5 months
Description:
The client had five web applications running on Websphere 4.0.5 that have to be migrated to Websphere 5.0.1. The applications have to be thoroughly tested after the migration using the automated testing tool Quick Test Professional (QTP).
Role:
Analyzed Ease of Doing Business (EoDB) web application and deployment scripts. This application helps the sales desk representative to pick the forms that are to be filled in selling an Insurance product.
Identified the deprecated API and replaced them with the suggested API in Servlets and JSP
Developed the test cases and manually tested the EoDB application.
Environment:
Servlets, JSP, JDBC, JDK 1.4, Quick Test Professional, Solaris, UNIX shell scripts, Websphere 4.0.5, Websphere 5.0.1, Oracle 9i

The application captures several details about the call like the department to which the call is being directed, the person to whom it is directed, the name of the product etc. It also generates a report which can be exported to Excel.
Role:
Developed JSP pages using Struts tags.
Developed Struts Action classes

Reused the tabbed menu developed by me in previous project
Implemented java script validations for validating the user input
Prepared the test plans and manually tested the application
