Taster Days with the Puckeridge Hunt Pony Club

Have you ever considered joining the Pony Club?

Our branch is offering newcomers a chance to give Pony Club a try before deciding if they would like to become a member; a sort of try before you buy offer! We welcome everyone between the ages of 3-25 who have a horse/pony and transport. Abilities range from very novice lead rein members to very experienced and talented riders.

You can choose one rally for your Taster day. For the juniors we offer achievement badge sessions on Sunday afternoons through the winter and fun, varied discipline rallies during the school holidays to name but a few. For those with more riding experience we offer show jumping, dressage and cross country clinics throughout the year. We offer other things too, including camps, have a go at Polo and Tetrathlon and great value for money weekly training sessions, which are open to all ages and abilities.

If you want to find out more about what goes on in our club throughout the year, have a browse of our very informative website we also have a Facebook page with lots of photos and news from our 2015 camps, clinics, rallies and team events.(Search Puckeridge Hunt Pony Club, It’s a group page so when you are on the page, just click “Join Group”)

Don’t have all the Pony Club gear for your taster day? Don’t worry about it! As long as you have the current standard riding hat, body protector and riding boots with a heel it doesn’t matter for your first rally; we would just love to see you join in and have lots of fun.

Don’t know anyone? Don’t worry, we will buddy you up with a member of a similar age and standard who will look after you and guide you through the day (we will also look after Mum and Dad and make sure they have a good day too); everyone will be pleased to see you and all are really friendly and helpful. Don’t forget, they have all been through the first day nerves too.

To take advantage of this Taster day offer, 1) have a look at our Diary to see what takes your fancy …. (more events being added all the time) 2) contact our District Commissioner, Di Potter or 07512 926158 to express your interest; Di will be happy to talk you through any worries or questions you may have. 3) After speaking to Di you will need to book and pay for your taster day on clubentries the online booking and payment system. 4) Turn up, smile and have fun!
