3.In the volunteer table, enter the names of the people who will be volunteering. The required number of volunteers to be provided by each club is listed on the race entry form. For skill set, identify any particular skills the volunteer may have or areas of experience (e.g. safety boat crew; finishing tower or marshalling experience, etc.). If the volunteer has any particular health requirements, please make note of this (e.g. cannot stand for extended periods of time).

Conditions of Entry

  • Abide by the race rules and requirements of the events organisers whose decision in all matters relating thereto and to the suitability and eligibility of applicants is final and binding.
  • It is compulsory that each crew member be covered by personal accident insurance (DBWA members are covered).
  • Waive any claim on the event organisers which may otherwise arise from personal injury or death and damage arising from or caused by participation in the competition and prior to competing execute a waiver to such effect in the form required by the event organisers.
  • Reimburse the event organisers for any damages or losses caused by the entrant to equipment provided by the event organisers.
  • Utilise only equipment and fittings provided or required by the event organisers.
  • Paddles must conform with IDBF paddle specifications 202a only. Padding or gripping material is not permitted - wax is permitted on paddles – not on seats / boats.
  • All crews must use a fully accredited sweep unless otherwise arranged with DBWA Coaching Director.
  • Every member of the paddling crew must be able to swim 50 metres in their paddling gear or otherwise shall wear a buoyancy vest.
  • Any protests must be lodged in writing and accompanied by $100 cash protest fee within 10 minutes of the completion of the protested race. The protest fee is only refundable if the protest is successful.

  1. Use one form for each race entry (e.g. one list for ‘20s Open 500 m’, one for ‘10s Women 200 m’, etc.)
  2. Enter the name of each crew member, the DBWA registration number and indicate if individual can swim 50 m. Paddlers who are unable to swim this distance are required to wear a personal floatation device (PFD).
  3. Hand in your current and most accurate Crew List for each event to the Race Official no less than 30 minutes before the first race of the regatta.
  4. Maximum of 16 crew members for 10s crews; maximum of 26 crew members for 20s crews.

I, the undersigned, have declared below which of my paddlers cannot swim 50m and therefore will be required to wear an Australian Standard PFD. I certify that each member of the crew understands and undertakes to be bound by the conditions of entry.
