Author Visit Times:

  • 12:45-1:00 1st & 2nd remain for Q & A and Signing (TK,K dismissal is 12:45)
  • 1:10-2:10 3rd-5th
  • Wednesday, June 7th is Hawaiian Beach Day. Because our students have worked so hard on their academics this year, we are all celebrating by taking a metaphorical trip to a Hawaii Beach! (This is a virtual trip, not an actual one). Students and staff are encouraged to dress in Hawaiian, beachy attire that is still appropriate for school (Bathing suits are not a good choice). Classrooms will be celebrating in different ways. Some students may be bringing in Beach Towels to lay on and read a good book. Other classes may be doing beach-themed activities in the classroom. Dr. Lee and Dr. Godbey will be providing an extra something to put all the students in the mood for Hawaii! The PTA will also be providing music and popsicles at lunch time. It should be a nice, relaxed way to get us ready for Summer!
  • The Garden needs you!Do you love being in the garden? Do you like to get your hands dirty? Or not so much? The RSS Learning Garden is forming a committee for the 2o17-2o18 school year, and we are looking for a few parents to help us grow!
If you have any experience in non-profits or not at all, we would love your help in continuing to make this space into the outdoor classroom of our dreams.
    Please email us at:
We are hoping to meet up with a few interested parents over a cup of joe, to chat soon.
  • Check the LOST & FOUND

Water bottles and lunch boxes and jackets OH MY! Please check the Lost & Found in the cafeteria. It’s very full. All unclaimed items will be donated to a local charity by the end of the year. Also, don’t forget to LABEL all of your children’s belongings.

  • 5th Grade Culmination

All families and friends are invited to attend! The doors of the high school auditorium will open at 10:00 a.m. Guests may wait outside of the ESHS entrance on Main Street ONLY until the doors are opened. Seating is not assigned and we ask everyone to be courteous regarding saving seats. During our culmination, the high school students will be taking FINAL EXAMS. Please remain quiet inside the hallways so we don’t disturb the students. ESHS also asks that NO flowers (including leis) be given to the students until AFTER they leave the auditorium. Helium balloons may not be brought into the auditorium. After the ceremony please proceed across the street to Library Park for photographs with family and friends. Thank you for your cooperation!

  • Attention 4th Grade Parents | Morning Drop Off Program

For the past 2 years, we’ve had a successful Morning Drop Off program. The way it works is that we have one main parent lead the drop off each morning, and then we have 5th grade students help open doors. We are recruiting now for the 2017-2018 school year. Our hope is that we can find at least 5 parents (preferably 5th grade parents) to lead one day each week. The time commitment would be 8:05-8:20 once/week. If we have more than 5 volunteers, we can share the load even more! If you choose to volunteer, your 5th grade student can help along with you! This is a great way to give back to the RSS School Community. If interested, please email Dr. . Thank you!
