Board Meeting

September 1, 2005

A meeting of the Corinth Zoning Board of Appeals was held on Thursday, September 7, 2005 at the Corinth Town Hall 600 Palmer Avenue Corinth, New York and was called to order at 7:05 P.M. by Chairman Bill Clarke.

PRESENT:Sigrid Koch, Chris Ross, Bill Clarke, Glen Tearno and Ed Byrnes.

ABSENT:Attorney Pozefsky with excuse.

PUBLIC PRESENT:There was no public attending this meeting.

ORDER OF BUSINESS: Chairman Clarke stated we have no cases this evening so I felt it was important that we have a discussion meeting.

Chairman Clarke, asked the board members if there was anything they would like to discuss. Did anyone attend the Planning Board meeting? Sigrid stated she did and that she was very impressed with how the meeting was run. There were a lot of questions asked and the public was well pre paired. The presenters were a little over whelmed with the attendance and the questions. These people did their homework. This discussion was in regard to the possible development of property Mr. Johnson is preparing to sell. Several people that attended the meeting were opposed to the development. The board members wanted to investigate some questions that were brought up at the meeting by the public input. Chairman Clarke asked if there was anything else to be discussed. Fred Mann stated that himself and Linda the secretary were working on purchasing a new copier. This copier would be able to make larger copies for the public at a fair price. We have a copy in your folder to look at including an approximate cost if purchased between the Zoning Board and the Building Department. If you are agreeable to this we would like to submit this to the Town Board so they can fit this into the expenses of the budget in the two appropriate accounts. We believe that leasing the copier along with a maintenance contract would be more beneficial to us both.

Chairman Clarke was discussing joining the New York State Planning Federation. We should speak with Supervisor Lucia about this . Joining the federation would save us money when we attend classes. Are there any other topics of discussion this evening. If not I would like to adjourn this meeting.

Sigrid Koch made a motion to adjourn this meeting and Glen Tearno seconded.

All in favor:Sigrid Koch, Chris Ross, Bill Clarke, Glen Tearno and Ed Byrnes.
