If you’re one of the 25% of people across the country who suffers from some form of allergy, you may want to get yourself over to The Allergy and Free From Expo at Dublin’s RDS. Running from October 11 – 12, the Expo aims to educate and help consumers suffering with allergies or leading a ‘free-from’ life.

The Expo will feature trustworthy information, advice, seminars and cookery demonstrations, shopping and tastings as well as a showcase of the best free from suppliers both nationally and internationally.

The Expert Zone will host seminars from leading specialists offering the latest research and findings on food, skin and respiratory allergies, Coeliac Disease, food labelling amongst many other topics. The talks will also include first-hand accounts from parents of children suffering from allergies and intolerances and the challenges they face with normal everyday activities. These talks will provide encouragement, inspiration and credible information to the ‘free-from’ community.

The Kitchen Zone includes cookery demonstrations, recipes and tastings from well-known chefs and nutritionists such as SuperValu’s ambassador and celebrity chef, Kevin Dundon. Kevin will share six tasty gluten-free, value for money recipes for the ‘Perfect Free From Dinner Party’. The practicalities of cooking day-to-day on a restricted diet will be presented byEddie Eriksson of Cornucopia, whole food and vegetarian restaurant, Lorraine Fitzmaurice from Blazing Salads, and Erika Doolan, nutritionist to Rustic Stone & Fade Street Social restaurants plus many more.

One of the key elements of the Expo is the free 1-2-1 Advice Clinics allowing visitors the opportunity to speak privately to our experts to discuss their concerns and/or to seek answers for any pressing questions or symptoms. The Asthma Society of Irelands' nurse specialists will be on hand to provide advice, support and information on asthma including asthma in children, asthma management and inhaler technique. The Irish Skin Foundation's dermatology nurses will give advice to people who suffer from a skin condition such as daily care routine. Anaphylaxis Ireland will also be present at the Expos and their mission is supporting those living with severe allergies.

The main Exhibition arena will showcase the best `free from' suppliers in the country and internationally, all offering their latest products for you to try such as PureBred Gluten Free Bakery, SuperValu Ireland, Avonmore Foods, Kelkin, BFree Foods, Juvela, Keogh's Crisps, Foods of Athenry, Riso Gallo, Byron Bay Cookies, Glenisk, Dr.Schar, Sowen's Organic, The Gluten Free Kitchen Company, KoKo Dairy Free plus many, many more free-from products, services therapies, treatments and solutions.
