9.This TV show originally ran from Sept 1967 to Sept. 1970 and was based on a novel by Tere Rios called _The Fifteenth Pelican_. It was about Elsie Ethrington, a young woman who was looking for spiritual guidance in Puerto Rico. She found a home there with the Reverend Mother Plaseato. While I don't believe that there was ever a thorough explanation of her unique ability, the reference book I looked at credited it to her slight frame, the strong trade winds and the huge coronets that the sisters had to wear at the convent. FTP id this show about Sister Bertrille played by Sally Field which could've alternatively been called the Soaring Sister.
