IBSF owns and operate three Steel factories in Riyadh Industrial City and have produced over 5000 steel structures in Saudi Arabia for ARAMCO, SABIC, MAADEN, SEC and other customers.
• I negotiate and prepare Purchase Orders in SAP with industry best practice and FIDIC Procurement rules clearly defining the accountability of both parties in terms of raw material availability, payments schedules, Bank Guarantee, Performance Bond, liquidated damages, shop drawings, production time, installation, inspection clause, warranty terms, Incoterms, shipping documents, custom clearance, return policy etc.
• I analyze SAP reports to monitor requisitions and PO status to close the open items as per the due dates.
• I have reduced costs to 15% in 2015-16 by proper planning, short term/long terms items segregation, sourcing, negotiations, securing annual rate contracts, evaluating supplier’s performance and taking corrective actions.
• I recommend Plant machinery and fixed assets to purchasing Committee. I purchase Structural steel, construction items, hardware, spare parts and consumables from local and International vendors.
• I keep working relationship with Inventory Manager on restocking levels. I communicate with Finance dept. on Budgets and Vendor payments. I regularly communicate with Sales department to discuss Client requirements/status. I assist Project Managers on Contract conflicts and disputes.
• I Cater Job site and plant requirements such as Buyout materials, Manpower, cranes, forklifts, testing instruments, generators, compressors, Safety items, consumables etc.
• I arrange Vendors Material Test Certificates, Batch Certificates, datasheets and MSDS.
• I comply material and documentation requirements for ISO 9001 (QMS), ISO 14001 (EMS), OHSAS 18001 (Occupational Health) to maintain the validity of TUV Certification and AISC (American Institute of Steel Construction).
• I keep work balance among my team compromising of 3 expeditors and 1 local buyer.

1. Power plant Annual Inspection/Major Overhaul material procurement:
► I procured material supplies, services and manpower required in Power plants and Saline desalination plants within budget, delivery time and required quality. I negotiated terms & conditions with suppliers and achieved significant cost savings for projects such as Shoaibah Steam turbine power plant Major Overhaul, Rabigh co-generation power plant Annual inspection, Jeddah PP3 and Makkah PP replacement of generator stator insert of ABB Type etc.
► I prepared and administered Long term service contracts for subcontractors and vendors. I received and processed Supplier Invoices as per agreed terms & conditions.
►I liaised with Project Manager and Site Manager and attended regular Site meetings.
2. Power plant low/high value bids:
► I evaluated inquiries and tenders received from customers, obtained quotations from suppliers, prepared costing sheets based on cost and selling prices and submitted offers related to many industrial products including transformers, switch gears, generators, gas and steam turbine parts, transformer oil purification plants, torque converters, electrical motors, copper coils for GT generators, batteries, current transformers, voltage transformers, pumps, annunciators, flow meters, control valves, filters, gaskets, actuators, calibrators, power measurement instruments, transmitters as well as chemicals, safety equipment’s etc.
3. Yanbu Reconditioning Workshop Materials Procurement
► I purchased materials and services required for turbine hot gas parts reconditioning Yanbu Workshop.
► I handled local and international logistics.
► I expedited ordered materials based on PO due dates by regular follow up.
