QUOTATION NOTICE

Construction and Interior furnishing work ofMaina Branch: Bhopal Zone

APPOINTMENT OF ARCHITECT

Our Bank intends to undertake the construction and furnishing workof ourMaina Branch (Shifting) inBhopal Zone. We invite quotationsfrom our approved panel architects to furnish scale of fees on which architects would like to quote their Professional services.The Bank expects the services as per Indian Bank’s Association Construction work Manual Revision III, 1998 and as per the terms and conditions as detailed in the Annexure- I.

The sealed unconditional offers are to be submitted in 2 Envelopes. Envelope No:1 should contain “Tender Notice inviting Offers in bank’s website” and Annexure-I as prescribed in the quotation, duly signed by architect and the envelope should be superscripted as ‘TECHNICAL BID”. Envelope No: 2 should contain Annexure-II, mentioning the price bid duly filled in along with signature and stamp of the firm. The envelope should be super scribed as “FINANCIAL BID”. The envelope should be addressed to Zonal Manager, Bhopal Zone, Premises Department, First Floor, Bank of India Building, Jail Road, Arera Hills, Bhopal, M.P. Both the envelopes should be kept in another sealed envelope and on the envelope it should be superscribed as ‘SEALED QUOTATION FOR APPOINTMENT OF ARCHITECT FOR CONSTRUCTION AND FURNISHING WORK OF MAINABRANCH’ . The sealed quotation should reach latest 2:30 PMby 25/11/2014at Bank of India, Zonal Office, Bhopal Zone, Premises Department.The quotationers may attend opening of tenders at 3.30 PM on 25/11/2014 at Zonal Office, Premises Dept., Ist floor, Arera Hills, Bhopal.

  1. Maina Branch, Distt. Sehore

The quotation documents can be collected from Bank’s web site or Zonal Office, Bhopal Zone Premises Department from10:30 AM to 5:30 PM during working days.

Bank reserves its right to accept or reject any or all offers without assigning any reasons thereof.

Annexure-I

TERMS & CONDITIONS

1The Architectural firms are required to first give 2-3 conceptual drawings for Bank’s consideration out of which Bank shall select some designs / drawings with modifications / suggestions. Based on this, project has to be taken up.

2Timely orders for ancillary items such as electrical work etc. are to be ensured.

3All original drawings shall be Bank’s property.

4Architectural firms has to ensure availability of some staff from their office for giving quick decision so that work is not held up once it is commenced by the contractors.

5All measurements / bills etc. are required to be checked thoroughly on the site and are required to be certified by the Architectural firm expeditiously so that the contractor can not put any undue claim on the Bank for delay in releasing their payment. All arithmetical calculations, measurements etc. are required to be checked, corrected and certified. It will be the sole responsibility of the Architects for its correctness.

6While furnishing the detailed estimate and terms & conditions of contract, Architectural firm has to ensure that all the relevant items of work which are required to be undertaken by the contractor are taken care of very meticulously and there is minimum scope for cropping up of any extra item or substituted items during the course of execution of work.

7If the Bank finds that performance of Architect firm is not meeting with the Bank’s requirement then Bank is at liberty to issue one month notice to the Architect for termination of this contract and Bank can assign this job to any other architectural firm for smooth completion of this project. During this notice period, Architects have to give necessary details for the work to the contractors and to certify their bill.

8Architectural firm has to furnish whatever details are required by the Bank for this project. They have to assist Bank in giving replies to the observations if made by Central Vigilance Commission during their inspection of this work. Even in case if any contractor resorts to any arbitration / court proceedings then also Architectural firm has to assist the Bank in such proceedings.

9Architects have to ensure that proper records of work in the form of register is required to be maintained like Payment Register, Steel Register, Hindrance Register, Technical Details Register, Site Order Book etc. etc.

10Architects have also to ensure testing of materials / make on the site of work which is going to be used by the contractors in the work. Proper clause in the tender along with frequency of test is also required to be indicated.

11The Architects shall be wholly responsible for the successful completion of the project in all respects consistent with safety and structural stability from the inception up to the handing over for occupation to the employer.

12Any other services connected with the works usually and normally rendered by the Architects but not referred to herein above.

13In case of any dispute, courts at Bhopal shall have the jurisdiction for this project.

14Applicable TDS shall be recovered as per prevalent rules.

15No Travelling allowance is admissible.

16In order to meet with Banks requirements of opening the branches in time, Bank reserves the right to split the work between/amongst architects.

We refer to your Tender Notice on Bank’s website inviting offers from empanelledArchitects for New Branches in Bhopal/Gwalior Centre.

2 We have read the requirements and have understood them fully. We quote our Professional Fees as ------% ( percent) (in words), of the approved estimated cost, tender cost or actual cost whichever is lower plus Service Tax, for rendering architectural services for the captioned work. TA/DA and other charges will not be payable.

3. We understand that the cost of items, if any, to be directly purchased by the Bank will not be included in the cost of the project for the purpose of calculating the Professional Fees.
