A+ Teacher Quick Reference Guide

There are two screens which should be open at all times while monitoring your students’ progress. The Connector screen will be your primary screen to monitor student work and how your students are progressing through their courses.

Type in your “Username” and “Password” into the fields and select “Login”. This will bring you to a screen that will show which classes you have access to view. Select your class to view your students’ progress.


The second screen (A+ Log-on) will enable Teachers to “View Tests” and “Grade” essays.

When you reach this page, click on the “Client Webstart” button on the right. This will add the A+ icon to your desktop.

Once the A+ Log-on screen appears, you can type in your “Log-on Name” and “Password” to access A+.

Once logged on, click on the 3rd icon from the left, “the clipboard”.

Expand your School and Class to view the students enrolled in your Class. You can expand the School and Class by clicking on the key next to each name.
To add a student to your class, follow these steps.

1.  Right Click on your class, and select “Assign users to class”.

2.  If the student does NOT appear on the list of students, this means the student is already enrolled in the class, in the trash can within the class, or is not in the database. If searched for the user (CTRL +F) and didn’t find the student you can, “Add new user”.

3.  In order to “Add new user”, Right Click on the class and select “Add new user”.

4.  Type in the student’s First Name, Last Name, Log-on Name (e.g. student ID), and Password (e.g. password = birthdate in the format MMDDYY). Change the “Interface” to “Intermediate” and select “Apply”.

To give a student an Assignment, follow these steps.

1.  Expand “2. Original Credit Assignment List COPY TO…” for example.

2.  Expand the subject folder (e.g. “Electives Folder”).

3.  Right Click on a course to “Copy to” the student.

4.  Select “Copy to”.

5.  Select the “Destination School”.

6.  Select the “Destination Class”.

7.  Select the Student name from the list under “Copy Assignment List to:”.

8.  Select “Copy List” and your student is ready to work.

In order to view a test your student has completed, follow these steps.

1.  Expand the School and Class.

2.  Expand your Student to see the Courses they have been assigned.

3.  Select the lesson (on the left side of the screen) to review their test.

4.  On the right side of the screen, select the row which contains a score for that lesson and the “View Test” button will appear. Click on “View Test”.

5.  When you click on “View Test”, the test your student completed will appear on your screen. If you look in the lower left hand corner, there will be an indicator as to whether the student earned “0 out of 10” or “10 out of 10” points for that question. Remember, all mastery and practice tests have 10 questions on the test. When you find a question a student missed, review this question with the student. In order to display the correct answer, click on the green checkmark at the top of the screen. Have your students find the answer in their notes.


In order to “Grade” an essay, follow these steps.

1.  Expand the School and Class.

2.  Expand your Student to see the Courses they have been assigned.

3.  Right Click on the lesson (on the left side of the screen) to grade an essay. You will know when an essay is ready to be graded by an “Action Item” in the Connector.

4.  On the following page, you can “View Essay” and submit a score.
