Eighth grade language arts offers students a year of deepening comprehension through the use of multiple types of text, including novels, short stories, and informational text. In addition, there will be essays and research papers written in preparation for high school along with other typical language arts activities.

I am big on keeping communication open through the year, as email is the best way to keep in touch if necessary. I’ll keep my wiki updated as much possible on a daily basis once the school year begins, as you’ll find much necessary information and documents on the wiki. I also have two young children, four years old and eight months old, as I won’t be readily available in the evenings to respond to emails immediately.
Supplies: A three-subject notebook with a hard cover (will be used for notes, writing, warm-ups), typical writing supplies, loose-leaf notebook paper (doesn’t matter college or not), glue sticks.
Wish List: Hand Sanitizer, Tissues, Lysol Wipes.
