ANGOLA

q  Visas are required by ALL passport holders. Non South African passport holders must have proof of permanent residence for South Africa stamped in their passport.

We apply through the Johannesburg Consulate.

FINGER- PRINTING

Effective 01 March 2016, all applications for Angolan visas must be submitted online at an additional cost of $40. This fee is separate to the existing visa fee. Once applicants have submitted their documentation online, the consulate will then determine whether the applicant is eligible for a visa and, if so, the applicant will then be required to submit fingerprints and supporting documentation at either a visa office or the consulate.

ANGOLA CONSULATE JOHANNESBURG REQUIREMENTS

q  Passport must be valid for at least 6 months, and must have 3 blank visa pages. (Back to back)

q  Photocopy of the passport is required

q  One application form completed in full and signed by the applicant.

q  Two recent identical colour passport size photo’s

q  Yellow fever certificate is required

q  Original company letter stating purpose of visit and company in Angola to be visited. The letter must be in PORTUGUESE. Letter must state travelers full name and passport details. The letter must not be older than 30 days old. The letter must be addressed to the Consulate of Angola – Johannesburg. 15 Zulberg Place. Bruma

q  Letter of invitation from the company or person in Angola. The invite letter must be stamped by the company and have the name and signature of the writer clearly visible on the letter. The letter must be written in Portuguese. The letter must be addressed to the Consulate of Angola – Johannesburg. 15 Zulberg Place. Bruma

A copy of the invitation letter must be e mailed to the Consulate : . A copy of the e mail must be included in your application pack.

q  The letter must not be older than 30 days old.

q  A COPY OF THE COMPANY CERTIFICATE AND GOVERNMENT GAZETTE IS ALSO REQUIRED. (ALVARA, DIARIO DE REPUBLICA, IMPOSTOS AND RECEITAS DOCUMENTS FOR THE COMPANY ISSUING LOI’S FOR ANGOLA)

q  A copy of the flight itinerary required showing proposed travel dates.

PROCESSING TIME

·  Up to 14 working days. Longer processing time is sometimes required for foreign (non SA) passport holders.

IMPORTANT : The onus is on the applicant to read and check the details on the visa : Country of validity, number of entries, passport number, period of validity, duration of stay, name and surname.
