WHS Officer

The WHS Officer will join a dynamic and passionate team who are responsible for championing NCIG’s core values of health, safety and wellbeing for all employees and contractors acrossthe site. The WHS Officer will also provide support as required with NCIG’s environmental and community activities andinitiatives.

Reporting to the Safety Advisor, the WHS Officer willdeliver high level, timely and professional support, with key responsibilities including:

  • Coordination of the site induction process
  • Maintenance of the Site Access System
  • Tracking actions for hazards, incidents, and audits
  • Reporting of HSEC Statistics
  • Data and trend analysis across the areas of safety and environment
  • Coordination of the contractor accreditation process
  • Coordination of site wide audit and inspection programs
  • Management of safety bulletins and alerts
  • Coordination of health and wellbeing programs
  • Document and file management
  • General ad hoc administration as required by the HSEC team.

To be considered for this opportunity, candidates will require:

  • Tertiary qualifications in WHS, or be near completion of their studies
  • Experience in a similar role providing administrative support across the areas of health and safety
  • Advanced computer literacy and document management experience.

To succeed in this role, the successful candidate will need to bring an intuitive approach to work, be flexible, have strong relationship building skills, as well as the ability to influence at all levels of the business. They will need to be organised to ensure concurrent,and at times conflicting priorities and deadlines are achieved. They will bring new ideas and contributeto continuous improvement of HSEC systems and processes.
