We provide our employees with opportunities to learn, develop, and further their education. We accomplish this in part, by reviewing and discussing our rules, policies, procedures, philosophy, and practices of the municipality as well as current laws that apply to their performance as employees. The purpose is to assist employees in performing their essential job functions. For example, we may provide employees with briefings, videos, periodicals, magazines, bulletins, newsletters, books or lectures. Training may also include a discussion of current events, new regulations, or public policy issues, incident debriefing, or practicing or reviewing mechanical and motor skills important to the job.
