FUMC Student Ministry
2015/2016
All Church Retreat – Spiritual formation retreat at Beersheba Springs Assembly for the entire church.
Saturday of Service – Local service project (i.e. Cleaning, Nursing home visitation, Raking leaves, etc.)
5th Quarter – Safe hangout for local Tullahoma students following the football game. Local churches host.
MS and HS Night Out – Off campus fellowship for middle and high schools groups. Typically 1 per month.
Fall and Spring Day Retreats – Typically a half day event. (Example: Movie Night, Paintball, Adventure Course)
Trunk or Treat – Church wide event in the fall consisting of games for the children (typically youth helping), distributing candy and fellowship meal.
Craft Bazaar Fundraiser – Funds raised through a dessert booth. Parents bring baked goods to raise money for youth missions.
Soup and Salad Fundraiser – Youth fundraiser offered several times during the year. Offered as meal option following church on Sunday. Funds benefit summer missions.
HS Ski Trip – Our annual ski trip to Winterplace Ski Resort in Ghent, WV for high school students.
Warmth in Winter – Our annual youth conference hosted at the Embassy Suites in Murfreesboro by the TNUMC Young Peoples Ministry.
Confirmation – A period of training that prepares our youth to make their public profession of faith. Typically 6th grade students, but offered to any student. Confirmation Retreat offered for each confirmation class.
Palm Sunday Egg Hunt – A tradition in our youth ministry. Lunch and a candy egg hunt with prizes for our youth.
Youth led Easter Sunrise – Our youth take parts in leading worship, prayers, and teaching.
Senior Banquet – A night to honor our graduating seniors. Families are invited for a meal and special time of sharing and inspiration.
School’ Out Blowout! – Our final event before summer begins.
