APPROVAL OF THE OCTOBER 6, 2009 REGULAR MEETING MINUTES:

Selectman Calsetta moved to accept the October 6, 2009, Regular Meeting Minutes as published. Selectman Wawruck seconded the motion. Both were in favor.

CORRESPONDENCE: None.

NEW BUSINESS: None.

OLD BUSINESS:

a.  Regional Bus Shelter Program

Selectman Wawruck stated that the bids for an RFP haven’t gone out yet, but should within the next few weeks. There was some discussion with the City of Hartford and their advertising policy, but they are set to move forward. He added that more information should be available for the next Board of Selectmen’s Meeting.

Other Business:

·  Selectman Wawruck stated that he would be discussing a “Reverse 911” System at the next Board of Selectmen’s Meeting. He added that CRCOG started the initiative for the program and is now under the direction of the State of Connecticut. This will make the program statewide as opposed to just being regional. Selectman Wawruck stated that he would need authorization from the Board to sign the necessary documents from the State. Selectman Calsetta thought that it would be beneficial to have the same system consistent throughout the State.

·  Selectman Calsetta suggested that the November 3, 2009 Board of Selectmen’s Meeting either be cancelled or postponed because it is Election Day. He added that Selectman Balboni also thought that it would be a good idea to either cancel or postpone the meeting for that evening.

Selectman Wawruck stated that the Town Charter requires that the Board of Selectmen meet on the first Tuesday of the month and he would prefer to hold the meeting even though it is Election Day. He added that it would probably be a short meeting unless something of significance needs to be added to the Agenda.
