Cooperation

Cooperation is the process of working together to the same end (https://www.google.com/#q=cooperation). Cooperation is involved in many things like school assignments. In most schools, whether it’s elementary school, middle school, high school, or even college, there are school assignments that are projects where students have to work with others to complete a project and receive a good grade. Students need to work together and cooperate to reach a goal to get a good grade. The more work they put into the project, the better grade they will get. Also, cooperation is involved a lot in sports. No matter what sport we play, we’re always on a team and teammates have to cooperate, listen to their coaches, and work together as one. Without cooperation on a team in a sport, it becomes total chaos and dysfunctional. By working hard and cooperating with each other on a team, the players will win games. A situation that I have been that required cooperation was my senior year baseball season. It was an early Saturday morning, where we were about to play the 15th ranked team in North Jersey on their field. They were from Ridgefield Park and they had a player who was one of the best outfielders and hitters in North Jersey. This was not going to be an easy win. They delayed our game for an hour so we had to wait before we left for the game. By the time we got there, we were already an hour and a half behind start time because their field wasn’t fixed and ready to be played on yet. We wanted to beat them so bad for making us wait so long just play and give one of the upsets of the season. As the game started, things did not go our way. People were striking out at the plate, missing routine ground balls, and pop flies. It gave them a good start it were already falling behind early. As I stepped up down some runs on our side, I started off with a base hit and kept on going until we finally scored. After, I spoke to my team. As it was my senior year, captain, and last year of high school baseball, I told my team we need to wake up, get the bats going, score some runs, and makes some plays to get outs. This game is ours and they are not going to take it from us! After they heard what I had to say, we started to swing the bats very well, got on base, score more runs, and made outs in field. By the last inning, we were up by a run and after three outs, we beat them. It was a great feeling to beat one of the best teams in North Jersey and get one of the upsets of the season. As a leader, in order to cooperate in situations, I need to speak up and lead on what to do so everyone knows what they are doing.
