Information

This year Teen Mayhem are looking for six, 9 – 13 year olds to programme a film screening weekend that will take place on 28th and 29th November as part of Mayhem Film Festival and will be delivered by Broadway Cinema.

Teen Mayhem is Mayhem Film Festival’s new strand dedicated to young people with a curiosity for genre cinema and television, and aiming to inspire young people to engage with the genre. This year, Mayhem is collaborating with Film Hub Central East as part of the Young Programmers initiative to invite six young people to come to Broadway and learn about festival programming and marketing.

Spread over six dates, the programme will allow participants to take part in discussions, screenings and masterclasses to learn about distribution, design, marketing, operations and programming in collaboration with staff from Mayhem Film Festival and Broadway Cinema.

Over the course of the sessions, it will be down to the young programmers to watch, choose and programme the films for Teen Mayhem to accompany the two BBC masterclasses which complement the weekend of activity.

As part of these sessions, it will be down to the young people to watch, choose and programme what will be shown during Teen Mayhem and help with the overall marketing for the event.
