Purpose:

TheprimarypurposeoftheSenior'sPastoristointroducepeopletoChrist;todisciplethemin spiritualgrowth;totraintheminservingChristwiththeirlife.Provide,throughpersonalministryandthecaringministryofvolunteers,aspiritofgenuineChristianconcernforsenior adultsinourcongregation,bothactiveandhomeboundmembers

Responsibilities:

  • Creatingandexecutingalong-termvisionforsenior'sministry.
  • Giftedandiscalledtosenior'sministry,lovespeople,andhasapassionforevangelismandoutreach,bothpersonallyandattheministrylevel.
  • Engagingteacher,.withastrongbiblicalbackground,whoisinagreementwithFundamentalTruthsandStatementofFaithofour denomination.
  • Leadandorganizeeffectiveprogramsimplementingworship,biblicalteaching,discipleship, andevangelism,aswellasplaneventsofinteresttosenioradults.
  • Recruit,trainanddisciplevolunteerstaffwithdiversegiftsandpersonalities.
  • Providecounselingandspiritualdirectiontosenior'sonanindividualbasis.
  • Maintaincontactwiththesenior's,keepingtheminformedofongoingactivities.
  • Contactappropriatepersonsorsmallgroupsandencouragetheirresponsetothoseinneed Assistinthedevelopmentandoversightofthesenior'sministrybudget;alsomanagesenior's

feesforeventsandtripsinatimelyfashion.

  • Participateasneededorrequestedintheevaluationanddevelopmentof theoverallchurch ministry.
  • Recruitandtrainvolunteerstoministerthroughvisitation,greetingcards,telephonecalls,

meals,transportation,etc.

Expectations:

  • Attendworshipservices,prayerservice,andspecialmeetings.
  • Staycurrentwithsenior'sministrypracticesbyreading,attendingleadershipconferences.
  • Grouptrippaperworkinorder(leavealistofsenior'stravelingatthechurch)
  • Preachandteachonoccasionin theabsenceoftheLeadPastor.

Qualifications:

  • AuthenticrelationshipwithJesusChristasSaviorandLord.
  • OnewhoexhibitsapersonalandgrowingrelationshipwithGod,ateachablespirit,andahealthyfamilylife.
  • Loveandrespectfor people.
  • Abilitytoorganize,coordinate.
  • Senseofhumorandpositiveattitude.
  • Strongteamplayerwiththerestof thestaffandcongregation.
  • Committedtothechurch'svision,leadership,andpeople.
  • Dependable,responsible,self-motivatedandcreative.

E.AllStaffwillgenerallybeinvolvedinallchurchfunctions.

F.Eachstaff membermustalwayshavethechurchatheartalwaysbeanopenadvocateforthechurch, neversmearingthenameofthechurchoritsleadership.

G.Faithful,intheirchurchattendancegiving.

H.Faithful,topreachteachthefullCounselofGod’sWord.

I.Mustbefaithful, asGodsrolemodel.

J.Mustbefaithful,toupholdholystandards.

K.WillingtogiveextraofthemselvesifneedbetoadvancethekingdomofGod.
