BRIEF SHORT TERM TENDER NOTIFICATION

(Single cover system)

Sealed bids are invited by duly superscribing the name of supply and bid notification reference there on are invited from manufacturers / authorised suppliers of these materials having adequate financial resources with sufficient past experience for the “Supply of Lamps, Chokes & Wound ballasts for HPSV & HPMV for ODY of VUGPH, Hosangadi-576282”, Kundapura Tq. Udupi District, Karnataka .

1.0 Blank tender forms may be obtained on application from the office of the Executive

Engineer (Machinery, Stores & Purchase),Varahi Hydro Electric Project, KPCL, Hosangadi- 576282. by enclosing a crossed DD for Rs.106/- (including tax) towards cost of blank tender forms (non-refundable) drawn in favour of Asst General Manager(Finance), Varahi Hydro Electric Project, KPCL, Hosangadi- 576282, payable at Corporation Bank Hosangadi-576282. Rs.100/- extra is payable if the blank bid document is required by post/ courier. KPCL will not be responsible for any postal/courier delays.

2.0 Calender of Bid events:

3.0Minimum pre-qualifying requirements:

a)The intending bidder should be a regular supplier/manufacturer ofLamps, Chokes & Wound ballasts for HPSV & HPMV covered under price bid and should havesuccessfully supplied similar itemsamounting to Rs.1.0lakh in a single year to at least tworeputed Organizations/Companies. Purchase order copies as documentary evidence for having supplied these materialsshall be furnished as a proof of experience.

b) The intending bidder should have achieved a minimumannualfinancial turnoverof Rs.2.00 lakhs in any two financial years in the precedingfive completed financial years i.e., 2011-12 to 2015-16(Financial turnover of previous years will be given weightage of 10% per year to bring them to the present price level). As for as annual financial turnover is concerned latest audited balance sheets counter signed by Chartered Accountant shall be furnished.

c) Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) Rs. 2,500/-( RsTwo thousand five hundered only) shall be furnished in the form of DD drawn on Corporation Bank, Hosangadi 576282, Kundapura Tq., Udupi Dist., Karnataka State, in favour Assistant General Manager (Finance), Varahi Hydro Electric Project, KPC Limited,Hosangadi-576282, Kundapura Tq, Udupi Dist., along with the stipulated tender documents in a separate cover.Tender document not accompanied with requisite EMD would not be considered.

d) The indenting bidder shall furnish VAT registration certificate /TIN no.

e) The indenting bidder shall furnish Income Tax PAN.

NOTE: Documentary evidence for the prequalifying requirements prescribed shall be furnished along with other documents failing which/ not satisfying the above criterion, tenders are liable for rejection.

4.0Those bidders whose contract have been terminated / foreclosed by KPCL or whose performance has not been satisfactory while executing the contract of KPCL or elsewhereduring the last 5 years are not eligible to participate in the bid.

5.0The bidder shall furnish the Declaration-I that none of his contracts have been terminated/foreclosed/EMD forfeited on account of his default in KPCL or elsewhere during the last 5 years as per the format attached with bid document.

6.0 Bidder shall furnish the Declaration-II that he has read the bid documents and related matters carefully and deligently and that he has submitted the bid having studied, understood & accepted the implications of this bid documents and bidders offer has no condition contravening the commercial conditions of the bid as per the format attached with bid document.

7.0 Validity of bid: The validity of bid shall be for 90 days from the date of opening of bid.

8.0Completion period: Four weeks from the date of Purchase Order.

9.0The bid documents are not transferable. Incomplete bids or bids without EMD or Telegraphic / E-mail quotation is not acceptable.

10.0 The intending bidder may submit the completed bids within the specified date and time by Post/ Courier athis risk and cost. Corporation shall not be not responsible for any delay in receipt of completed bids sent through post/ courier.

11.0 KPCL reserves the right to verify any information/document furnished by the bidder, should the circumstances so warrant in the overall interest of the Corporation. In case the information/ documents furnished are found to be incorrect or invalid, then tenders of such bidders will be cancelled and the EMD furnished by such bidders will be forfeited.

12.0 KPCL reserves the right to accept any or reject any or all the bids without assigning any reasons thereof.

13.0 Bidder shall not be under a declaration of ineligibility for corrupt and fraudulent practices issued by any State Government/ Government of India/ Union Territory.

14.0 The original documents should be produced for verification at any stage of tender process as and when sought for, failing which the bids are liable for disqualification.

15.0 The rates shall be quoted in the price schedule only and for all the items without fail. The rates quoted shall be inclusive of all applicable taxes.

16.0 Conditional tenders are liable for rejection.

17.0 In case the dates notified above be declared as holiday, the immediate next working day will be reckoned.
