Thank you for your interest in the Loma Pioneer Repeater Club

This is your application for membership in the LOMA PIONEER REPEATER CLUB of San Jose, California.

The LPRC is a Repeater Club that maintains state-of-the-art communication systems for it’s members and guests to use. The club operates 3 voice repeaters ( 146.640, 442.900, 1285.200 ) and 3 packet radio nodes

( 144.930, 145.010, 145.030). The main site is atop 3800 foot Mt. Loma Prieta, 15 miles south of

San Jose, with an auxiliary receiver site at 800 feet up Mt Hamilton. Membership is open to any licensed Amateur Radio Operator in good standing within the Amateur Community. .

Membership in LPRC entitles you to use all the features of the repeaters. This includes phone patch, autodial, paging, digital voice mail, remote voice operation and also several Packet radio nodes. This is, of course, dependent upon your class of Amateur Radio License. LPRC also publishes a quarterly newsletter known as the RAGCHEWER. This newsletter is issued just prior to LPRCs quarterly general meetings and provides articles of general interest to the member. There are no optional features. This means that there is only one annual fee for use of all LPRC features. Your membership expires on the anniversary month of your acceptance into LPRC. A quick way to check is look at your label on the Ragchewer and it tells you your due date.

While completion of this application does not automatically guaranty membership, it does convey your willingness to abide by the by-laws and other such rules as shall be promulgated from time to time by the club.

Knowing something of your special skills and interests will provide us with a resource which helps us keep our dues as low as possible. Your skills may also help us in our equipment selection process. Please indicate, in the section below, your general interests and any times which you may be available to participate in club functions.

If you are elected to membership, you should receive, within four weeks, a letter of acceptance and your membership package.
