Apprenticeship Application Package

October2014

TO: Prospective U.S. or International Applicants

Welcome in the precious name of Jesus! Enclosed are the necessary application forms and other documents needed to start your process in participating in our Global Leadership Training Center (GLTC), a time of intensive, hands-on missions' training and experience. The GLTC program is based in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Please make sure you have read, completed and signed every part of the application. We will not be able to process your application or accept you into the program until we receive ALL required forms and documents including recommendations. We earnestly seek applications from those identified as leaders in Kingdom service and missions. International applicants must demonstrate an abiding commitment to return home immediately after training. Agreements between the applicant, his or her spiritual adviser at home, and GLTC reinforce the reinvestment this training strives to ensure.

Plan NOW. First, if you are an international applicant, we strongly recommend that you consult immediately the U.S. Embassy website to schedule a visa interview. Scheduling make take as long as 3 months. Second, complete and submit your application. Third, secure the written memorandum of intent from your spiritual adviser at home. Return the completed form to GLTC. The completedagreement will be signed by GLTC staff subsequent to your phone interview and prior to your visa interview, if you are an international candidate. Completely signed copies should be made for your Embassy interview, your spiritual adviser, and yourself. Fourth, other documents can be sent separately. Fifth, the application process includes a telephone interview. Sixth, make sure your plans take into account financial obligations for visa interview, airfare, administrative fee, and a prayerful contribution toward your tuition and fees. Seventh, stay in contact with GLTC about your plans and progress.

Pay special attention to page 10 of the application. This is the memorandum of intent.

If you have questions or need more information, please contact Professor Ken Datsa at 661.903.3939, or you can fax documents to 336.917.2631. You can also email . We look forward to seeing God fulfill His purposes and plans both for your life and, through your life, for the nations. God bless you in all your endeavors for the Kingdom.

Until all have heard,

Step-by-StepApprentice Application Checklist

The necessary step-by-stepapplication procedures for Global Leadership Training Center (GLTC) follow.

GLTC will process your application as soon as all documents are completed and returned to our office. Submit a photocopy of your passport with your application.

Two recommendations must be submittedby persons who are not related to you:(1)your pastor or bishop and (2) a ministerial colleague. These recommendationsare essential components of your application.

A Memorandum of Intent is required. The primary stakeholders are the applicant, his or her pastor or spiritual adviser (not related), and GLTC. The pastor or spiritual adviser is a key partner in assuring that skills and knowledge are reinvested in the faith community supporting the applicant. For international applicants, this can be especially critical. The form must be signed by all parties and should be submitted during the visa interview to support your visa application.

It is strongly recommended, especially for international applicants, that the Memorandum of Intent begin a discussion in which two to three manageable projects are identified (purpose, rationale, region served). This letter must not exceed one page. However, it must demonstrate that your application and training are intentional commitments to return immediately after completion of training to serve at home.

Aphysical examination within the last six (6) months prior to enrollment is required. Have a standard medical check-up and return a Statement or Certificate of Health or Medical Certificate from your doctor’s office. We must be informed of any medical conditions you may have.

Upon review of your application, we will send you an official invitation to apply and a packet of further instructions, if necessary. International applicants will receive a letter of introduction to the U.S. Embassy. Others who desire a similar introduction may request it.

In addition to the Memorandum of Intent, other application components are designed to facilitate your preparation for apprenticeship. Remaining documents need not be submitted immediately, but must be submitted in a timely manner.

We advise that you (1) email or (2) fax copies of your application and forward a hardcopy via airmail.

Make the commitment to advance in your calling. Prepare for the most intense training ever! You will participate in every aspect of GLTC including world missions seminar, hands-on training, evangelistic outreach, and spiritual impartation! Apprenticeship training provides opportunities to serve and to lead in various aspects of establishing, operating, and maintaining a training center and global ministry.

You are responsible for any “special needs” you may have such as toiletries, special linens, blankets, medications, etc. Men’s and Women’s Dormitories are equipped with cooking pots and dishes for use while on campus. Tuition covers housing, food, local transportation, and field trips, unless otherwise specified.

Apprentices living on-site are responsible for their medical care and personal expenses. Living on-site allows apprentices to deepen their learning and network with other apprentices and with visiting lecturers.

Apprentices who choose to live off-site are responsible for their own housing, food, transportation, personal expenses, medical care, and as well as program fees.

Packing. Pack two suitcases and one carry-on bag only of clothing and personal items you will need. Winston-Salem is located in the temperate climate zone, with temperatures ranging from very cold in the winter to very hot and humid in the summer.

Due to insurance coverage and apprenticeship program activities, children, spouses or other family are not permitted to live with the apprentice in dormitories. Dormitories are gender-specific.
