Introduction

/ Note: The MPL Liability (policy) is only available in the CommercialDemo Beta and Prod environment.


This document will be broken down into PAS specific walkthroughs which includes binding the policies with different users along with the process of common procedures that are mostly used when in Demos. The step by step procedures are the created to be the quickest means of creating the items described. There will be brief mention of the hidden areas but the comprehensive document will have a more described.

A quick reference Section is also included in the end of the document for referral and validations

Binding a Bridge MPL Policy as a Distributor

Walkthrough Distributor

This section will go through the steps to create and bind a MPL policy using a distributor role.

/ Note: Please use the Distributor user when creating a policy

  1. Login with your distributor user login.
  2. Choose Policy -> New Submission
  3. Choose the Miscellaneous Professional Liability Product
  4. Choose an existing company in the Client grid
  5. Add a Revenue amount
  6. Choose Professional Experience (This will factor on the premium amount)
  7. Choose Years in Business
  8. Choose a Use of Written Contract
  9. Choose a Quality of Written Contract
  10. Choose a Legal Review

/ Note: Have you Had any Claims in the past 5 years – if “Yes” is chosen a Responsive Disclosure is visible and a row is necessary before continuing forward
  1. Add a row in the Professional Services grid. This grid can also be used to demonstrate the Import Export
  2. Add a limit amount
  3. Add an aggregate limit amount. This section demonstrates the parent and child grid.
  4. Add a Claim Retention

/ Note: Any limit higher than 2 million triggers a referral
/ Note: Includes Prior Acts – if checked will display a grid. The Prior acts date and a row in the grid will need to be added before saving.
  1. Click Save and Refresh
  2. Go to Quote Summary
  3. Choose a quote type – This liability uses a multi quote prcess.
  4. You can choose to print the Quote document
  5. Choose Bind
  6. You can choose to print the Bind document.

/ Note: The following fields will affect the premium amount:
  • Professional Experience
  • Years In Business
  • Use of Written Contracts
  • Quality of Written Contracts
  • Legal Review
  • Prior Acts

This section will go through the steps to create and bind a MPL policy using aUnderwriter role.

/ Note: Please use the Distributor user when creating a policy

  1. Login with your distributor user login.
  2. Choose Policy -> New Submission

Referral

The Referral will be triggered when a user using the Distributor role enters a value above 2 million. Once this has been triggered a Request Quote email can be generated and an Underwriter will be required to enter a Premium Override amount before the Distributor can continue to bind the policy
