2013 POOL RULES

HOURS: 7:00AM to 10:00PM Sunday -Thursday

7:00AM to 11:00PM Friday and Saturday

NO LIFEGUARDS ARE ON DUTY AT ANYTIME

The following rules are for the benefit and protection of all members and guests. They have been established to assure safe and sanitary operation usage of the pool and adjacent areas. Failure to comply with these rules may result in suspension of pool privileges.

1) Volleyball may be played on these dates:

·  Wednesday 8:00 - 10:00PM

·  Friday 8:30 - 11:00PM

·  Sunday After 4:00PM

2) Members are responsible for any damage done by family members and/or guests

3) Parents are responsible for supervising their children.

4) No one under age 14 will be permitted in the pool area unless accompanied by an

adult homeowner who accepts responsibility for that child and/or children. An adult is defined as a person age 18 or older. Supervised swim team practices are exempt.

5) Guests must be accompanied to the facility by a member. The number of guests is

limited to four per member. Members age 14-17 may not bring a guest(s) to the pool

without an adult homeowner present who accepts responsibility for the child and their

guest(s).

6) In consideration for use of the pool, members and/or their guests agree to make no

claim against the Association and or management for loss or damage of life, limb or property.

7) By order of the Wake County Health Department, the following rules are enforced:

·  Glass containers are not permitted inside the pool area. This area includes but is not limited to the pool deck and shelter.

·  Children who are not toilet trained must wear plastic pants over diapers or diapers designed for swimming. Fecal contamination will result in immediate closure of the pool for no less than four hours.

·  Pets are not permitted inside the pool area.

·  Proper bathing attire is required. Cut-offs are not permitted.

·  Persons with open wounds, skin infections, inflamed eyes, nasal or ear infections

may not swim. Bandages may not be worn in the water.

·  The entry gate must remain closed at all times.

8) Intoxicated or disruptive members or their guests will not be permitted at the pool.

9) Please use headphones when playing music, or play it at a level that won’t disturb others. Extension cords are not allowed.

10) Trash (including cigarette butts) must be placed in trash receptacles.

11) Bicycles should be parked by the front door in the bike rack. No bicycles (or motor

vehicles) are allowed inside the pool.

12) Climbing on walls and fencing is prohibited.

13) “Nerf” balls or other foam balls are permitted in the pool. Sports balls (basketballs,

footballs, tennis balls, etc.) that are not specifically designed for use in a pool are not

permitted on the deck or in the pool.

14) Playing and loitering in the bathrooms and cabana is not permitted.

15) The pool must be vacated at the first sound of thunder or threat of lightening.

16) The pool may be closed at any time in the event of a mechanical breakdown, weather

condition, or any other operational difficulty.

17) Any adult at the pool who observes misconduct has the right to enforce the pool rules.

18) The Hawthorne swim team has exclusive use of the pool during practices and meets.

Homeowners wishing to use the cabana for private parties must contact PPM at 848-4911 and pay a $50 deposit. This deposit is refundable if the area is properly cleaned after use. A reservation for the cabana does not mean that you have exclusive use of the pool facility. An adult homeowner must be present at all times during any function. When the cabana is reserve for a private party, the pool hours extend to 11:00PM.

Key fobs to the pool are available by contacting PPM at 848-4911. There is a $10 deposit for the fob that is refundable if the fob is returned to PPM. There is a limit of two fobs per household.
