The next meeting will be held 4/4/17 and will include elections for chair and secretary positions. Refer to our NYPTA district page for details or contact Tylene Lizardi at .
Delegate Assembly is on May 19 and 20. To be held at the Desmond Hotel in Albany. Refer to our NYPTA District page for details. In early May, when the HOD packet is available, we will have a meeting to discuss how our district would like us to vote. We need 2 more PT delegates. On 6/6/17, we will have a meeting following the delegate assembly. Originally a pulmonary CEH was going to be planned, this will be postponed until the fall. Ideas for 1-2 hour CEH at the June meeting are welcome.
4/25/17 is Lobby Day. Claudia Fenderson is the liaison, contact her for details at
3/18 to19 will be the Vestibular Rehabilitation Course, at Marist. The deadline for registering is 3/3/17.
We need a membership liaison. Their role will be to welcome new members, answer questions and provide guidance. The objective is to help with NYPTA member retention.
The deadline for chapter awards is 3/15/17. If you are interested in nominating someone, please refer to the NYPTA website for award details.
Keri Gill-Smith, our treasurer, will be running for chapter treasurer during Delegate Assembly.
Jill Taylor, our director, is the liaison between our Catskill district and the chapter. She brought up the issue of unequal insurance reimbursement at the chapter meeting but was informed that the NYPTA cannot act as a bargaining agent with insurance companies.
The meeting was adjourned for our special program on domestic violence led by Claudia Fenderson.
