Roster Reconstruction

As you may know, at the close of World War II, the Army destroyed all unit rosters. I am attempting to reconstruct them. Too date I have completed the 30th and the 106th Infantry Divisions, (all trained at Camp Atterbury). The combined rosters contain information on nearly 40,000 Veterans that cannot be found anywhere else. Much of the information gathered has come from Veterans or their families.

Here’s an abbreviated example of a list view from the 106th Division roster:

424th Regiment, 3rd Battalion -- (99 total records for this one unit)

Name / Rank / ASN / Unit / WIA / MIA / KIA / CIB / CMB / POW / Awards / Notes / Source

The 30th Infantry Division roster is similar to the above, but with better records, they were able to supply additional information, such as Campaigns fought, etc. In addition, each individual has his personal page as below:

The information remains the joint property of myself and your Association. I do not sell or give the information to anyone other than division members or their familes. The Association can do with their copy as they wish. All the info will be available on You can go to that site now and view all of the 30th and 106th rosters.

Other rosters now being planned, include military and civilians for Camp Atterbury, Freeman Army Air Field, Wakeman General Hospital, 31st Infantry Division, German POWs and Italian POWs at Camp Atterbury, and more. I only work on one roster at a time.
